Leaf Sculpture Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy
Today one of our GCSE Photography students, Amy, created this beautiful sculpture of an Autumn leaf made from leaves which we found in the garden at Northleigh House School.
Amy was inspired by Andy Goldsworthy's artwork where he uses leaves to create abstract, temporary sculptures. She has taken into consideration the gradient of colours and shape to make her own sculpture of an Autumn Maple leaf.

Water Droplets
It's been very rainy the past few days, so I thought I'd share some lovely photographs taken by one of our new students in photography, Amy. She came up with her own idea of using a spray water bottle to create water droplets on the flowers and leaves in the garden to photograph. Her images have been edited to create a bleached and light flare effect in a vintage style. Beautiful work, well done Amy!

Forced Perspective
The Great Adventures of Mr Woodbottom
'Lonely Mr Woodbottom'
'Mr Woodbottom Scored!'
'Welcome to Mr Woodbottoms House'
'Mr Woodbottom Sunbathing'
'Mr Woodbottom Escaping the Jungle'
'Mr Woodbottom's Morning Run'
Today our KS3 photography students experimented with forced perspective by using a wooden mannequin a.k.a Mr Woodbottom to arrange constructed life like scenarios. We used various angles and compositions to get a different perspective and very much enjoyed creating the great adventures of Mr Woodbottom!
